Faq
Wait, isn't this just roommates or dorm life?
There are two main differences: intention/lifestyle & professionalism.
Intention means you’re living with folks with a similar intention, in this case, those interested in community, entrepreneurship, and wellness. Although we strive to have affordable options, at the end of the day, coliving is not just a way to save on rent but is a lifestyle choice.
Professionalism means having your own flexible lease, rent/amenities/essentials/services bundled in one payment, physical and psychological safety boundaries for the house, furnished bedrooms and common areas, and structure to nurture the development of the community.
What are the expectations?
For now, the only expectation is we all pick up a chore. In the future, there may be an expectation about baseline involvement.
How do folks spend their time?
In terms of social opportunities, we have a 1-2 events planned each week. Right now it’s the Sunday dinner and sometimes the mastermind or game night. Spontaneous events pop up on the group chat a few times a week, like going to events in Austin together.
Spontaneous small gatherings happen a few times throughout the week, like cooking or coworking together. Lots of 1 on 1 conversations and outings sprout up throughout the week.
Having privacy and solo time is also respected so that you can have the balance that works for you.
How long do people stay?
The intention is for this to be a longer-term living situation, so most folks are here for many months, even over a year. That said, some short-medium term situations do open up i.e. a great fit that’s in town for 1-8 weeks. We’ve found that some variety and flexibility enhances the experience.
